Championships in late October, the
National Finals Ranch Rodeo held at
the American Royal Livestock Show in
Kansas City, now in its 3rd year. Credit
is due to the many local sponsors and
vendors who endorse and support
their cause.
MANICURED, COLOR-
COORDINATED COWGIRLS
Since women will be women, how they
look and what they choose to wear
is important. Regulations require a
western style shirt with long sleeves,
jeans, boots and a hat. Within those
boundaries, each team shines. Judging
by the coordinated colors they sport in
their photos, complemented by their
dazzling smiles, they can easily steal
the thunder from the better known
WRCA rodeos any day. There’s just
something special about the sparkle in
their eyes, those flattering stretch
jeans, and in some cases, the dazzling
manicures.
But if there’s a common secret to
their success, it might be due to the

It’s been said that the only event missing from the
Women's Ranch Rodeo is judging who can cook the best
meal while sorting/roping and branding. Lori Brown &
Christine Swinson from the JC Cattle Company take care
of business on the ground.
